Yes they are good. for the price of them cant go wrong
I have 3 Rallye 4000 HID's on my 200 series and have 2 of the kings LED's on my Colorado... Colorado is brighter at shorter distance, 200 series lights up about 2kms down the road.... Rallye 4000 HID's are 3 times the price haha
I've got the kings on my work ute. Held up well to 110000 of country driving so far including prob 40000 of dirt driving. They don't have much distance though. Plenty wide but the light runs out of legs quickly. I've got stedi sports on my 200 as well as 40 inch light bar up top. Can't fault that combination and I'll prob go that again when the new cruiser finally gets here.
I've got a 18 gxl. 100000 kms. Really wanted to like the 300 but just can't get excited. Single piece tailgate that hits the front of the boat. 100kg roof rating so no taking the car topper when we are off in the van.
Ordered a 79 dual cab and I'll coil convert it and build it as a tourer with a canopy set up. Hopefully they slip the 300 series v6 and 10 speed auto into them while I'm waiting.
I went from a 76 series to a 200 series. No comparison, the comfort of a 200 is way better than the 76. I would cut down your 200 rather than go a 79 dual cab haha
I've got the LED spotties on my truck and are very bright close up but I find driving through the night my eyes start to get sore from being so bright. On my cruiser I've got IPF HIDs that are now 10years old and they light up 1-2 Kay's in front of me but don't strain my eyes. The HIDs are my preference

I have the Stedi Type X
I have the Stedi Type X Sports 8.5".
They are bright as hell with a pretty long throw, more than you would ever need and only $400
Only had them a few months though so don't know how they will hold up in the long run.

I agree, 79's are like
I agree, 79's are like driving a bus. Shocking turning circle, tight cab and small winscreen.

I looked at cutting the 200 but was looking at over 50k by the time it was done. And then I would still have to buy another car for the wife.

Just put Stedi on mine
and very happy with the result.
So much so the normal headlights had to get a change in globes to keep up as the chalk and cheese comparison was exactly that in colour.
Had the best night drives heading to the NW and home and cant wait to do it again in a few weeks.
Stedi approx 650 a pair or 430 for the smaller, bargain for the result.
