Squid/prawning light trial (again)

I'm heading out tomorrow early and I decided to knock this light up at the last minute. It's a bit rough and ready as its only a trial and a last minute  thing, used sikaflex to help stick the lights to the 15mm retic pipe. I cut a slit down one side and it simply clips to the bottom of the boat with the lights stuck to it (self adhesive strip lights and sikaflex... messy stuff!)

$10 for the lights

$12 sikaflex (used stuff all)

$6 for 12v socket

$5 for 15mm retic pipe

$4 for wire

Total $37

Last photo was with no flash...

If you get some 12mm clear

If you get some 12mm clear drinking tube and a 5m length of the strip light you'll be better off.

Insert the light into the tube by pushing/pulling some heavy leader connected to the strip light through first.

Use a small amout of lube to help u and an extra helper to keep wiggling it as you pull helps also.

Whack some silicone in each end to water proof it and walla she's good to go.

You can now use zip ties to fix it, drill some small holes in the chime you have it siliconed to and also connect it up on the bow where you're winch conncets and you're away.

Lettuce know how you get on.
