Stacer Optimax Questions
Submitted by koji on Sat, 2011-10-29 20:14
I am thinking about buying a brand new 539 Stacer Nomad with a 115 horsepower Optimax. Could any one share any thoughts/information on either of these products please?
Any input is appreciated.

optimax
I have had a 225 Opti for 2 years and about 130 hours, it has been perfect so far, and exceptionally economical, and services are a lot cheaper than 4 strokes.

I've heard good things about
I've heard good things about optimax in that they are great on fuel. A mates done 600 hours since new and has had no problems and is very confident in the motor.
The stacer might not be heavy enough so it might get smashed in moderate conditions with a bit of chop. Similar to the trailcraft's ride.
I'd go second hand not brand new. You could save some money and go a bit bigger.
How much is it brand new? (rough figure if you want)
Cheers

agree
would have to agree with SRF if your not set on having a brand new rig to run in yourself , there are plenty of near new rigs for around that price, the other thing to keep in mind is what comes with it , as the electronics , sounder and gps are the next big expsense you would have to add to the cost of your new rig
