Mattyb34 contact Erez from www.apneaaustralia.com.au and get it sorted mate - there is always a great turn out for weekends you just need to organise the dates with him.
The more people in town with this the better, just completed stage 2 - down to 30m on the second day and down to 25 on the first - great teacher and great course

course what course ??????
I lived in K town for 32 years and didn't need a course to get 30 meters free diving made a dive of 38 m at onslow 1 time to pull a big coral trout out from under a ledge that I had speared I will admit it took me two dives to make it after leaving my gun down there (I have a citizen watch that records your deepest depth for the day) I can only get about 20m these days due to ear problems but then I am nearly 53 and yes I do smoke (not heavy) I think my body is used to oxygen starvation

.
Impressive Peter, but definetly wouldn't encourage it without having someone else there that could also dive to that depth incase anything went wrong.

not being critical of the course
sorry mate I couldn't help myself but I used to dive with a bunch guys up north that all could easily get 30m I was probably the worst of the group of about six of us that used to dive together all the time 1 kiwi guy from tompice we used to dive with regularly had a breath hold time of over 5 minutes and was diving way past me and the other blokes an old pommy bloke I met at Onslow was 70 when I first met him he used to spend 6 months of the year diving there he was regularly getting 30m at that age last time I dived with him was when he was 84 and he was still a gun you learn a lot from those types of blokes and always know with an adrenal shot they will get you out of the poo
not sure if you know but the Dampier dive club was originally called the Dampier spearfishing club if you can get hold of some club archives you will see some names in there that will just jump out at you ,its a long story but basically when scuba became the "thing" the club direction was changed and us spearos were moved out of the club (not with out a fight thou) but what the heck its all history now
