still money around for boats...........

As a CC fan the PMY24 is a pretty cool boat - given the current situation i thought it surprising that their is money being thrown around, but maybe i am just jealous i didnt get it for the price i wanted ! :-) :-)

The one below on was on an online auction - you couldnt view it and the engine (2005 verado) is not running and unknown hours and no key, the starboard gunnel had the cleat ripped out and had taken a fair bit of the topside gunnel with it - to say the boat was in poor condition would be an understatement - it also has no trailer
it sold for 46750 +gst +11% buyers premium = $57081!!!
add 10k for a 2nd hand trailer and probably the same for a second hand 4 stroke and a couple of grand in fibreglass repairs and anything else that may be required and your are somewhere around 80K for a 15 year old boat.....
What recession! :-)

They are nice boats, but not at that price for that boat.

I have been looking since early march for a 5k runabout suv ( decent rav4 or crv etc)  for the daughter and there selling like hotcakes!

Missed out on a couple of better ones selling within a day , so watched some on line auctions as well and yep selling almost above precovid price.

Just walk into northshore and buy a new one at that kind of pricing.
He is cranking the 'new' Markos straight out of the PMY mould down there at the moment.

I saw one of those at Rotto - an aqua blue coloured hull - really nice boat, high sides and great lines

 Actually that's the early

Actually that's the early Milner with the bolt on pod. The newer style ones had an integrated pod with moulded transom.

 I actually physically looked

I actually physically looked at that boat as was just around the corner from my workshop. It was going to need a lot of TLC plus a trailer.

Isn’t the PMY the same hull as the old 233?

 Very similar. Top cap

Mon, 2020-05-04 10:15

Very similar. Top cap totally different being the centre console and the has a plank added to the keel but the mould was pulled off a formula and tweaked from there.
