Stolen Kayak

Not mine, saw it on gumtree and thought I would post it here. I'm guessing there's zero chance of anyone identifying a stolen kayak but it's a fairly sad story and thought it would be worth mentioning just incase someone can help.

My kayak has an embedded "vin"
I just assumed that they all did - when I am away they are fixed to the roof of the car with lockable stainless tie down straps which resist cutting - hell there are some low lifes around and it seems to be getting worse and fast - a reflection of the economic climate ?????

One of fishwrecked's users has kindly donated a kayak to this family. <piggy>=legend!
Would still be nice to see the scum bags that stole theirs brought to justice though.....

We have been given two Kayaks !
Ahoy all you avid fishwrecked readers we have been blessed with a second kayak which means I can take hubby out and not worry if something has gone wrong...as it sometimes does these days. Thank you to both Piggy and the second fishwrecked reader whose online name I don't know because he contacted me through gumtree. You are both amazing. We are still pinching ourselves. We don't wish the theives any bad illness for what they have done because that wouldn't be very nice....as like master 11 said "no one deserves a brain tumor like daddy's". What goes around comes around without us thinking bad thoughts. Life is far too short to focus on the bad things. Take the time to see the good in all things....not always easy, but it can be done. We have to do it every day despite the daily challenges of living with what the doctors want to call a terminal disease and give poor prognosis for. Thank you again fishwrecked readers.
