String of bad luck
Hey guys, I've been out fishing every friday for the last two months or more and have taken some mates out and trying to get them into fishing. The problem is, all my usual spots have gone quiet. Leighton beach usually fires for morning herring but my last 3 trips there have resulted in exactly 0 bites and 0 fish, I've been up to pinnaroo point near hillaries a few times with no luck, to trigg island on more than one occasion and once to the south mole, i went down to woodies point this morning to give it a crack too but didnt catch a bloody thing (except a handful of blowies)
Ive been using prawns and squid for herring, throwing jigs for squid and poppers/twisties for tailor.
Im asking for a favor here, can someone tell me where i can take a few friends for a good chance at some herring or squid or anything really? We're young so climbing over rocks and stuff isnt as issue. Of couse im not asking for secret locations but im getting bloody frustrated lol! Please send me a PM if you're willing to give me a hand!
Cheers fellas!

One good place that never
One good place that never fails is the freo traffic bridge. Just take alot of care not to fall in. Im my opinion its one of the best spots local to get a mixed bag from tailor to BIG silver bream, monster skippy etc. You just need big leads to hold the bottom as the current flows through hard. maybe look at the tides and try fish the still between. Just be careful there

The old free traffic bridge
The old free traffic bridge is a decent spot, unless you go by the name Super Peg, then you go there & still record a duck :)

Nup, I didn't get a thing,
Nup, I didn't get a thing, but I'm not the one sitting on a big stack of doughnuts am I? Besides I predicted not catching anything with the tide coming in, outgoing has always been better there for me.
Fishing line? Bird? You mean that one that I had to cut free after some careless mongrel left a great long offcut hanging from the bridge? Fark that was funny when it frightened crap outta ya.

Down at Rockingham boys.
Down at Rockingham boys. They're pretty spread out tho, I think there's quite a few schools around. Hooked one at the back of garden island on a stickbait from the ski after a tailor sesh on the reefs. Like others have said they look to be 15-20kg. The day before that I saw them busting up about 150m from the palm beach ramp while I was launching the ski and last week my brother saw them not far off from secret harbour beach

Also seen yellow fin near
Also seen yellow fin near the d9 last week ;-), they was going airbown feeding off the top, lasted about 20 mins, didnt get chance to move the boat into position for a popper suasion before they left :-/, we estimated them to be more than 50kg each, they was f*** huge,
first time ive seen tuns landed of beaches in wa ever, was this past few weeks, and never known anyone to see yellow fin at all in the sound.
Smething changing and making them feed close in, its weird :-/, but I'm not complaining :-D

There was heaps of bait
There was heaps of bait stacked up at the south end of the sound in between the yacht moorings and the southern flats, all the way from the mussel farm processing pontoon to the grain terminal. Looks like they followed the scalies from woodmans pt jetty down to the Rockingham jetties. Pretty exciting stuff
