structure scan transducer sheild

Trying to stop the rooster tail on my lss2 transducer and have come up with 2 options. The water is coming up trhough the gap on the bracket.

1st is to get a shield made up to suit which will require drilling more holes in the transom.

2nd is to order a made to suit transducer sheild as in the pic. Only place i can find is in the states and is about $150 delivered. Anyone seen or used this type of bracket and are they any good and any where is aus hat might stock them.

Thanks

you could attach it directly to the bottom of the hull... turn it round and I am sure there would be a way of inverting the readings on the display

Could you not diy an aluminium infill bracket and use the two existing bolts on the left and right hand side to attach it? Or even just sikaflex to attach it?

Thanks guys might just have to bite the bullet and order online. Not a fan of the silicon fix and can't mount it under the hull as it wont read properly. Already have a through hull on the flat surface under the hull.

Cheers

I flipped my transducer mount

I flipped my transducer mount around in the bracket (upside down), which is fine as the installation manual mentions that the transducer needs to be above the level of the lower end of the transom anyway.  As long as your LSS transducer is still level or lower that the skimmer, it should be an easy fix.
