have you tried to pull them off whith the boat ? often over the years iv been able to get them back with a bit of patience , wait until the water clears if you cant see them now , then check em out with a water glass see how there stuck
ie , did you drop them straight into a pinnacle /crevasse in the reef or have they walked along the bottom & in under a ledge , or is the pot sitting in the clear, but your rope is tangled around the reef
I have these suggestions for you to get em off once you have sussed how there stuck as above
1 let out all your pot rope and tie them onto the back bollard on your boat , at a low , long angle, pull them back into the south, south west and around the north west direction, as this is probly how they went in , just reverse the process, the long rope , low angle gives you the best chance to dragg them back out
2 if there dropped, into a crevasse/ledge or hole in the reef, try pulling them up as short as possiuble on the nose of the boat and try to ''POP ' them STRAIGHT BACK UP , or try to drop a small killik down on the pot and pull it at a different angle , , this often will work easily as well
if this doesn't free them , get onto wal or another diver, lol
Yeah tried every trick in the book. They have moved about 500m from where they were dropped and are really stuck. It's all a bit strange. Both pots ended up 10 metres apart. Snapped one rope trying to get the pot up. Not a productive day at all.
Wal. Thanks so much for the offer. I will happily pay your fuel bill. Yeah the boat has a ladder. Let me know when you might be able to do it. Cheers. Westy
Got one stuck a couple weeks ago had to wait a week for the water to clear up enough to see the bottom then it got it free with the boat once I new which way to pull it. Good luck.

750 dollars for a pot tipper
750 dollars seems a bit steep for a pot tipper,Willie from bullet boats makes up heavy duty ali ones for $300 that work great
