Hey Guys,
Getting a new car in the new future, and what to get something that can tow a boat (eventually),
Iv'e been looking at an old (1998-2003) subaru outback wagon, is awd,
Hoping to eventually get a centre console boat, and was wondering what size boat the car would be able to tow (if at all), and how it would handle launching off a boat ramp,
would also be looking to do some light offroading with it,
Just chasing peoples experiences or opinions on the matter,
Any other suggestions that match the criteria would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Sharkhunter1

I have a 2002 H6 Outback, I used to tow my banana boat around with that without any issues, still use it to launch my dinghy around here.

My banana boat was 6.7m, but didn't weigh a lot, maybe 750kg all up.

The problem is a heavier
The problem is a heavier towball load will make the back squat quite significantly. Better off getting a bigger SUV.

depending on
the size of your boat and the weight we towed a 4.7m runabout (roughly 900kg) with a mistshibishi asx suv tow rating 1300kg very easily and never had a problem we now have a whitley (2.2 tonne) which we have to tow with a landcrusier just check its towing capacity and compare it to your boats weight inc fuel and other items and you should be fine !
wont catch em sitting at home!

My subaru has auto levelling suspension, saggy backside has never been an issue.
