Sunday Cockburn Sound crabs

Caught up with Ryan Thipthorp on Sunday for some Delish Cockburn Sound crabs. We launched Ryans boat at a very lazy 10:30 enough time to find where the bigger ones are holding up and to take advantage of the high tide. We bagged out in 2 hours with the majority being 140-150mm and a great way to relax on the water, cheers Ryan.

Good catch Frank. Great to see the crabs make a comeback in the sound.

Cockburn sound is an awsome place to explore.

Yeah sorry dude Ryan couldn't get his motor started. Thinking it was electrical and something major, all it ended up being was the kill switch knocked out.

There are plenty around at the moment, we've been bagging out in the river and in the sound, and the ones from the swan have been huge.

How do you catch them?

Mon, 2011-03-14 23:25

Might sound easy but I have no idea. Just jump in with snorkels in 2 meters and look?

Feed

A great feed Ryan and Frank. Two hours is good enough session to reduce the alcohol content LOL.

I miss the blue swimmers at the mo but no doubt I'll be back into them when I get back.
