Did it have spikes/spines on
Did it have spikes/spines on the carapace in beetween it's eyes easiest way to tell between native and Asian paddle crab. Nearly impossible to tell from that photo.

Please advise
fisheries ASAP and where you found/saw it.
Toxic and a danger to our prawn/crab fishery .

Update
So, rang fisheries Sunday and left details with call taker.
Had a call back within 5 minutes to go through more details, sent a picture through. Traded texts to say can't identify it from the photo but would pass on for Monday morning to be followed up.
Monday about 10 have a message on my phone to say they had reviewed the photo and confirmed it was not a paddle crab. Not 100 sure what it was but certain not a paddle crab.
Thanked me for reporting etc. Happy with the follow up and feedback I received. Good job. Message for me is to take more notice, better photo and if I can, catch crab for ID.
