swan snappers
went for a fish in the river on sunday night, hoping for a mulloway. Had two big rods out with livebaits and fished for whatever else may come by with my bream rod. after catching 2 herring for bait i took the float off and first cast caught this little snapper, ended up catching 5 in a row, followed by a chopper which bit through the 20lb leader right at the last moment. after that it went dead and i couldnt hook anything but trumpters. Hooked another unstoppable about 1am that im guessing was a jumbo ray.. went incredibly fast and busted the braid at the line roller after about 150m. biggest snapper went 31cm.

Last time I fished in the river we had a few small snapper biggest went about 15cm, around claremont.

any runs from mulloway
any runs from mulloway lighterthief? i went out the other night in hope of a mulla (sunday night) got one run..90% sure it was mulla
heaps of tailor and a flounder and hooked big crabs but theyd let go at the surface!

Stirling bridge..
Anybody had any luck under the bridge with mulloway recently? Am thinking of going this Friday.
Heard from a mate that sometime ago some guy got bitten by a bullshark while prawning under the bridge...any truth in that?

we were
there under the bridge sunday night and neil got busted off on his baitcaster from a thumping mulloway....took a bream surfing while runnin to his rod peelin off a lot of line....fought it for a short while and then PING with the fish wavin good bye....but we caught at least 20 or so bream.....lots of fun ...biggest bein 38-40 cm....
