Sweet Meat Run

The Mrs wanted for fish for xmas but her family are fairly fussy so the plan was to bag some sandies then explore the 30s in the hope of a dhu swimming in close. Getting a skin lesion carved out of the nose today so a day off work for a solo mission yesterday was the go.

Found some nice sounder action and pulled out a 47cm model and gave it another 5 drifts and moved into my fave spot. A few wrasse and not much action then hooked what I called for a small snapper to pull in a nice 37cm darkened anus.

Tonnes of cray pots blocking my drift so I scouted around trying a few areas of interest for zilch so headed back to the first area and drifted a different mark and pulled in a nice 46cm KG a couple of hundred m off the lump in flatter hard ground. Was getting lots of similar hits on the 7/0 hooks so hopefully I've finallly nailed a KG spot.

Beaut day on the water and some 10/10 fillets for xmas lunch!
