There was a guy on here who spent $45k fixing one of them up.

Must be a pretty reasonable hull if he was prepared to spend that sort of dough on it.

i had one for a few years. it was a 2000 model with a 130 yammy on the back.I loved the deck space and it was a good all round boat.It was very stable at rest never felt unsafe when it was rough but it did bang a fair bit going into the choppy stuff.I did put tabs on it and this did improve it quite a bit.One of my mates has one of the older ones that has a pod put on it and it rode noticeably better than mine.If you dont mind a bit of banging they are a great boat.

 Good refurbish

I have a swiftcraft explorer,80's i think, so far happy as a P.I.S! Handles really well and doesn't mind the chop.2 blokes on one side not a problem. I think I could use a bigger donk, upgrade from a 90 to 115 but other than that I can sit on 18knots in a fairly chopped sea.

Haven't had one myself but have been on and older model 80's90's hull and rate them pretty well. Would be a good boat to get if in good cond or to do a project rebuild on

Flat out is 5500rpm and on flat water i get 29knots. I prefer to sit between 4200 - 4800 and at 4200 i do 20knts.

Fished out of a mates viking for several years around Nanga bay, awesome ride in the shoft sharp chop and very stable at rest.Went real good with Yamaha 1oohp four stroke, very quiet, very economical and 34knots.Need a decent trailer but because boat built solidly.

They are a very solid boat so a solid tralier is a good check.

34knts shouldnt be a problem.
