Well after many phone calls emails etc in WA, i finally decided to speak to the NSW fisheries in obtaining tags, one phone call later and a few days and my kit arrived, 10 shark tags 20 large pelagic tags and 10 billfish tags(lets hope i have none left after the next exmouth trip)
So this year will be getting a few tags into some sambo's ambers tuna and dollies out from Perth

i have the tag applicators
i have the tag applicators for the shark and pelagic already, its only the billfish one that is new from when we used to tag billies over east, and the fisheries supplied me with a applicator as well.
No it doesnt go to the recfish, it all goes to nsw, but this is the biggest tagging program nation wide and if i run out of tags i have been promised new ones within a couple of days.
Good luck trying to get them thru recfish, been there done that, too much black tape for the average joe trust me

if you want demersal ones
if you want demersal ones you will have to still go thru recfish,
these are for gamefish mainly, so most shark species, all billfish and all pelagic fish like tuna's sambos, ytk over 70cm, dolphin fish, mackerels etc.SBT yellowfin tuna etc, will be interesting to tag some dollies at one FAD this year and see if they move between FAD's
