tailor

After a long hiatus I found that tailor may be back at Triggs. So this morning I had a go. Was there only for an hour and a bit because on my first cast I hooked a 65cm 2.3kg. Got a chopper on my next and after that was small fish bites but seem to be like herring. Enough for dinner so I quit. Could hardly fit into wader bag

And getting jealous as being bowled by the waves whereas the tripod guys are comfortably dry. For those who want to know the smaller fish is actually close to 40cm but doesn't look it

Geraldton
I was fishing a beach at Geraldton a long time ago and it was very quiet then at about 8.30 PM it went off and I landed a 650 tailor then 3 mulloway around 750.I was treating the tailor very special but found the flesh to be quite rank and the mulloway perfect. How did the Trigg one go on the plate?I have fished the beach at Trigg a lot as I could walk there until I moved to Karrinyup.
just do it.

Definitely back I think
A school at Cottesloe this morning. I put an underwater phot of them in the Fishwrecked photo gallery, as I can't figure how to put it here.

that's awesome
i'm fairly local to the area and have been hunting around the various shore based reef pockets to find new places to try out along that coastline.
i've been wondering what the consensus is on low versus high tide? on the one hand low tide makes some target areas easier to cast into and concentate fish into smaller areas, on the other hand i figure feeding activity might be higher with more things like crabs getting washed out of there hiding places? thoughts/experiences?

Caught a few ..
Caught a few over the years . I'd
say high is the ticket. More bait fish
they would be chasing than crabs
on a low . But hey who knows just
gotta have a crack. Cheers pirate
