Tandem kayak any good for solo fishing ?

Hi guys, First of all, luv'n ya posts, couldnt stop reading them and now more interested in getting into yak fishing and leaving the diesel at home.
Just looking to to buy my first yak for some fun in the sun.. my wife is interested in river kayaking but not the ocean or fishing side of kayaking. i was wondering if a tandem kayak would still be nice and stable and suitable for ocean fishing if i were to take it out solo. or would it be to big and long to control by myself ?
thanks for your time.

Im not too sure about the
Im not too sure about the stability in the ocean but i occasionally use a 2 seater (open type) kayak in rivers by myself. if one seat is removable and you can center the other it makes it quite easy depending on the size. It also allows you to store more gear.
Hope this helps
By the way, you have an awesome name!

I've only been married 6 months, wanna atleast make it to an anniversary :)
looks like i'll be going the mirage outfitter, sales lady was pretty convincing and taking the second seat out and plugging up the drive hole should give me alot more storage infront. at 3k she was pretty convincing, can anyone advise me if this is decent price for an outfitter ?
that was cash price from Ranger outdoor.
Cheers again.

One of Perths top snapper
One of Perths top snapper specialists uses a Outfitter by himself and gets along pretty quick, when by himself he has a deck he made up and puts that in the front, plenty of storage etc.
I think 3 grand is a good price for one seeing a single seater Outback is around $2500.
Check the local kayak fishing forums some time for all the safety requirements, we also have fishing trips each week,,regular comps etc .
