tantabiddi ramp

Hi all just a quick question about how accessable tantas ramp is at moment. I have read old reports saying it best used 1 hour either side of high tide. This will be my first trip to exmouth in april with a 5.5 ali and 4x4. Any fishing reports or advice would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Fine on any tide at the moment even 0.3 lows.   If we get any rain and the creek flows at all it will be a different matter, their is a big bank of sand just waiting to cover the ramp again.

Staying at Big 4 first week of school holidays...Tanda is fine, seen the ramp near the creek sanded up...funny as saw a local pro boaties tour operator young fella drive down the ramp trailer into the sand then couldnt get car out...oops ...anyway good ramp usually use the one on the right...good if you have someone in the boat to drive it off and pop around the corner of the jetty but you dont have too.

Looking forward to getting the annual sqiuding done...more brownie points with the misses and fishing the drop offs will do some trolling if weather is good.

5.3m trailcraft...love the place.

If weather the gods play good gonna pop over the gulf for a spearo.

Good block ice from the servo in the LIA in town. O the other good put in spot is the ramp at Bundegi. A quick dash to the Murions worth a steam on a good day.

Might see you there.

Look out for Chopper

tackle tackle and more tackle $$$$

Each: Trolling rod, bottom rod, flick-squiding rod, qaulity trolling reel, bottom reels, baitcaster, spin reel, skirts, deep divers, twisties, squid jigs, light sinkers, heavy sinkers, plastics, qaulity swivels and owner hooks 5-8's, qaulity gaffe, net, good gimble, sea anker, spear gun with reel, float line, qaulity leader 40lb plus mix, rubber bands (for trolling)

Once you packed all that then think about the beers, then food, then cooking stuff, then sleeping qaurters...try to support local...you might pay a bit more but without local the place wouldnt be the same, they are and do feel the pinch with online shoping and people buying up large before arriving.

Travel with a second hub and bearings, two trailer spares, grease gun, and enough tools to change a bearing on the run. Seen a trailer do a bearing and fortunately mine fitted so instead of the family being in the middle of nowhere stuck we had them up and running in a hour.

I support local when there, sometimes if a shop doesnt have much on the shelf its because they cannot afford to carry the stock...a real part of the current economy.

A bit off track, but hey have fun deciding what to bring and ending up bringing too much...my wife tells me everytime....slow learner. Gotta have the just in case items.

Enjoy the planning...
