Hi all, tried this last nite after a few bourbons and put in it in someone elses thread . ooops sorry. Try again. Got given a nice mackie head that i would like to clean up for the skull, does anybody have any ideas on how to do this without stinking the back yard up or Mum's kitchen. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

Boil it
and then bury it and the ants and bugs will do the rest.

Boiling
actually destroys the tendons that hold the jaw etc in place!!!
Did a shark by boiling and it just all fell apart(spose you could glue it)
Haven't sucessfully done a skull yet so am watching this post carefully

Need a small cage to leave at sea for a week or so the Sea Lice do a great job!!

Thanks lads
Cheers for the suggestions lads. Will thaw the head out today. lol on the neighbour suggestion Russ but their all good, so who to choose, lol. Cant leave it out coz of cats, cant cook it [Mum says NO, lol], so thinking about leaving it in a bucket of fresh water with the lid on,TIGHT, did that years ago on a couple of shells and the meat came out of them pretty quickly. Thanks again

Jaw
Steve, let us know how it works out. I've got the head from a big bluebone and want to get the jaw out of it myself.
