Is there still pelagic action out there??

I've had the boat out of the water for the last few weeks with a trip to Bali and then electronics upgrade. (1kw thruhull tranny - Yew), so getting it out tomorrow, just seeing if there's still plenty of bait in the water and whether a quick trip to the fads for some Dollies, before a deep drop is worth it?

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

South of Parkers
There was heaps of bait south of Parker Point last Saturday. It was boiling up everywhere. We picked up 8 bonito and a couple of rat sambo's before eventually catching an 18kg mackie.

thanks guys
I got out on wednesday to test the new sounder and tranny. Bloody unreal. Just went to the south FAD and only managed the 1 dolly on a livey, and lost another. (really should have caught a few more), We only saw 2 groups of Dollys swimming around though, and both times were takers.
Managed a few Dhueys, red throat and a gummy on the way back in. So not a bad day in the end.
Cheers
