Thunnus CI4 any good?

Hey guys, was looking to get a few of these for some bottom bashing work and some live baiting here and there.

are these reels any good??  How ldo they hold up after some abuse?

Had a play at the shop and felt like it should feel for its price range.

Will be using from the boat so anybody can chime in would be great

Hey Iseedeadfish

I've had a 8000 for about 2 years. it handles plenty of hurt. heaps of rays, sharks, salmon, jewies, pinkies baldies etc. i've not have any issues with mine other than regular maintenance and service etc. works smooth as and heaps of hurt.

Thunnus are great value reels.  We use them as dedicated beach fishing reels (the baitrunner feature is great for this), but I'm sure they'd be equally at home in a boat.  IMO, Simano have better reels for boat fishing though, depending on your price point
