Todays dive

went for a dive off Mindarie and bagged out on crays for the first time in my short craying career. Size wasnt too bad with all well over size (80mm+). What was unusual I aslo stumbled across a southern cray and after an epic battle i managed to nab him. Almost lost him a couple of times tho and would have been spewing if i did coz no one would've believed me. Anyway what are the southern's like to eat? Do we usually see them this far up?
Anyway here are the pics.

Southern's are very tasty
Southern's are very tasty but haven't had them side by side with westerns so can't really comment.
Well done on the catch too, what depth were they in? We tried on Friday but got out after 20mins due to too much surge.

Southerns
IMO southerns or fighter crays taste a lot better than reds by a long shot.
Nice catch

Nice work mate. Just
Nice work mate. Just recently done my OW and purchased the umbrella liscence before the fees went up, so I'm hoping to get into some crays before the end of the season. GOod to see there are still some good size around!
