3am lightning storm....WOW
Lots of lightning over the airport, quite a site. My poor dog is crapping himself.
The last few strikes have been right above my house. And they were LOUD.
Good luck with the fishing today, winds still look ok.

Storm delaying things
Got up early to thunder and lightning. Am down Rockingham way but holding off heading out whilst couple of nasty patches still to come through. Pity as such light winds and was going to head about 50 kms out but that seems to be where worst of weather is! Hopefully mid morning start and arvo fish.

Yep same here. Don't want to be out in this in an open boat.

Might give it a miss, still plenty of activity to the north, and the rain that just come through then would probably half fill my dinghy. Her's a good web site if you don't already have it.

Only delayed by half an hour
Only delayed by half an hour we launched ay woodies at 5.30. The lightning show on the way out was unreal. First drift at the fads we hooked the bull dolly at way over a metre but spat the hook after the first big jump, no more dollies caught after that. Other than a few kings and bluefin it was a very long and quiet day. 84nm round trip and we only copped a spray over the side once or twice, stoked to know my little side console is capable of such a trip, the way i see it is its an abrolhos trip with 20nm worth of fishing on 2/3rds of a tank
