hey all. im looking at selling the 100 series landcruiser as it is petrol and being an apprentice i cant afford to run the toys. im looking at downgrading to a navara st-r. im just wondering how other peoples experiences with the st-r and towing have been? the boat is about 2ton. generally the boat is kept 15 metres away from the boat ramp so only occasionally will it be making trips down south to mandurah and dunsborough. what are your thoughts? cheers

towing with a navara
My mate has a 7 mtr centre console ally and we have both towed it to shark bay with the boat fully loaded , 4 guys in the ute with the tray fully loaded .He has the STR 3.0 TD and I have the D22 3.3 petrol. The hills out of Gero were no problem.

what about a gas conversion?
If it is a good bus , may be more viable converting it to gas mate....

gutless
Mate just bought a 2.5t boat (fibre) and tows it with the navara 3.0 td and reckons its gutless. Installed a power chip as well and didn't help that much. Everyone has their own opinions though.
