Trailer query - opened rebound clips

Hi Guys, Just after some advice on some opened rebound clips on the leaf springs on the trailer - Is it a major concern? and can I fix by clamping the springs and or trying to close them. Thanks for your advice.

What you've got going on
What you've got going on there is a build up of rust between the spring leaves. It looks like early stages & the springs could be dismantled, blasted & paint. I have a worse case picture showing broken leaves but I don't know how to insert the picture.

Looks like quite a lot of rust... consider replacing them with new to play it safe?

Springs are cheap , roadside
Springs are cheap , roadside rescue somewhere in the middle of bumf£€k is really expensive.

Those springs are definitely
Those springs are definitely shot, just replace for a couple of hundred $
