Trip to Gnaraloo
Hi all
Recently back from our annual trip to Gnaraloo. Number 11 i think. Great to see Andy and his boys up there and our report is pretty much the same as his. Weather was average for most with two days putting it on. Some good Reds, Rankin, Mackerel, Wahoo to 30plus kg, Cobia, Spangled Emperor, Trevs and Coronation Trout were the main catches for the trip. We jiged, trolled, used plastics and baits. All worked well with baits probably winning the week this year on the reds.
Water temp was a crazy 27 degrees for most which is way above normal temp that we have experienced before. Sharks were a problem which is the first year we have encountered them.
We spent a lot of time throwing lures at tuna, soft plastics at bait balls and trolling for Wahoo and mackies on jets, hard bodies and skirts.
Gnaraloo continues to throw something new at us every year. Booked again for 2017. See you up there Andy.

It was good to meet your crew and good blokes they are. That Hoo was pretty special, but a good all round mixed bag. Will have to catch up soon so I can give you your Vacumn packer back.

A good week all round considering the conditions early in the week. It is a great place worth visiting. Catch up soon mate. I am sure there are a few stories to catch up on.

It went pretty nuts, we were lucky it was on some decent gear. They were around for most of the week and as usual did more damage than we would have liked.
A lot of cut offs and at one stage we had hooked a Dolphin fish to see it jumping out of the water with Wahoo right beside.
