Hi, just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on trolling for mackies / cobia out from lefroy bay as i am travelling up there soon, this will be my first trip up there fishing, not after anyones spots but am i better off trolling just out from the other side of the reef or further out, any advice would appreciated !!

Yep
back of the reef is the go for mackies. Don't bother going any deeper than 20m.
If you spot a nice lump holding bait it's always worth a lap or 2 past that aswell.
If you head out to 30-100m you'll have more chance of Sails, YFT, Wahoo etc. Then Marlin out as wide as you like.
