normall thread
use a big flat head and give it a slight tap with a hammer on the end of the screw driver as you turn the screw ,that should loosen it otherwise its going to be an impact driver job

a little tip my mechanic
a little tip my mechanic showed me with the leg oil bung is yes they are tight and when you put it back again make sure you have a new washer for the screw and go back at least 3 times and re-tighten otherwise it'll weep, the washer crushes right down and gives a really good seal. Lefty loosey for sure too, nothing funny going on there.

left handed nuts are only for
left handed nuts are only for idiots who try to connect gas bottles wrongly and are marked with notches.

you may also get it by using
you may also get it by using the largest screwdriver from a Stanly set which has a square shank.
Use a 6" shifter on the shank, a piece of ply between your chest and driver handle, grab the leg and push in and turn at the same time.
BUT dont flog the slot out. As said if it wont come go buy an impact driver, maybe $30 at a guess?
If you havent seen one before, put it in the slot and whack it on the end with a good hammer. It pushes in and turns at the same time.
If that doesnt work sell the outboard

Impact driver will get it..
Impact driver will get it.. always in the cheap bin at the local hardware.. great for motorbikes too!! Otherwise hold the turning tension on a big screwdriver and tap with the hammer.. works most of the time
