Dear all
Have moved to Karratha about a year ago and I am thinking about the Wesbster twinfisher. Spoke to J Burgess and he loves his. Anybody out there been there and done it.

the only thing i dont like about Jay's old mans rig is the fact that it is a runabout. Up here ilove the 360 degree fishing access that my center cab gives me

Go the center console models
Go the center console models if fishing is going to be it's main use, they certainly are a good stable, capable rig. Thats spot on Irish.

Never been in one but I hear
Never been in one but I hear the twinfisher CCs are pretty wet, perhaps even wetter than monohulls, which makes the runabouts models a bit more popular.

I've ridden in a fair few
I've ridden in a fair few monohulls and the difference is negligible. I wouldn't say that they are any more wetter than equivalent sized mono hulls.

My mate had a 4.9m runabout
My mate had a 4.9m runabout when I lived in SA and it was a awesome inshore boat. He had a full set of clears and canpoy, when it was rough (15-20kts)and the sea was to the sides a bit of spray landed on the clears but you stayed dry. Heaps of room, planed so easily, VERY stable and an all round good fishing boat. He had a 90hp Yammy on the back and would easily get above 30kts. Probably wouldn't want a smaller motor if you're carrying a few blokes and gear but a 75hp would be as low as I'd go.
If you're chasing the ability to fish from the bow the windscreen can be opened (as for anchoring) and you can cast from the gap. Pretty good compromise over a CC I reckon.

Clears
Whats the point of having clears if you don't take them with you BRAD!! 2.25 hours without clears into a northerly going to the murions ISNT FUN. Definately have to go walkaround, big big big advantage for any type of fishing up north.
