Twinpower fb 4000 Jigging rod Advice

Morning all,

Im looking to do some light/shallow water jigging (small knife jigs, fankys, pirates etc) this year at the Abroholos in late April this year.

I have my Twinpower 4000 loaded with 20lb fins braid and matched to a tcurve 5-10kg as a lure combo if anything swims past ready to go.

However, Im thinking that the Tcurve might not be ideal for jigging purposes and would like some opinions and thoughts on what would be a good Jigging rod (pe 1-2 maybe?) to purchase. (looking at a $300-$400 max budget.)

Also, would it be stretching the friendship if i loaded the spare 4000 spool with 30lb fins? would the Twinpower handle it? or am i better off getting a 6000 type reel?

C.G.

hearty rise jigforce would be the perfect rod for you, rated p.e 1.5-3, nice tip to work the jig and loads up really well under pressure, rod comes in at $349 so fits your budget well.

as for the spare spool, id stick to 20lb, you can run 30lb  but after a few big encounters youd might want to think about changing those drag washers, a 4000 size reel isnt designed for 30lb, as long as you have your knots fine, you shouldnt have any troubles with 20lb.
