Thanks Faulkner Family

I would just like to say thanks for the advice in getting my starter motor seen to by a mechanic, it ended up only needing some bushes replaced.

$80 later and we are back on the water, could have been a lot worse if I tried to fix myself. By the way Arthur Page fixed it for me, he does all my servicing.

I would also like to thank the good people on here for recommending Arthur Page to me!

He serviced my Optimax for about 1/3 the price of Saltwater Marine, and today returned and installed my new batteries. He refused to take any payment for this morning's effort too, even though he was here for about an hour.

I'm definitely a fan of him now!!!

long time no see. had to get arthur out once you left matey. He did the usual service, but then he went over the boat and checks out everythiung else like ya trim hydrulics and stuff turned out one year my trim was faulty and he changed that out. think i paid 250 all up. i then had another prob with water in the fuel. took it to your old people they charged me 1100 to drain the tank check the engine install a filter and sort out the iussue aswell as apparently rebuilding the carby. 3 months later 2km out same problem again. I got arthur out he came round a day later to look at it and ended up taking the carby away for a clean and to give it new gaskets as it had never been touched last time. i drained the fuel and he came and nutted the problem out. all for a sum of 190 bucks problem solved. he then came to the beach and cheked it out himself for 20mins free. He is very good but id still give you my work if you werer here still. hows the trophy treating ya

+1 for Arthur Page, at no

+1 for Arthur Page, at no charge he left me a long list of what was done wrong by the previous guy working on the motor.

Not sure what it is with some shops, but another board member had his honda serviced SOR, they charged for new impeller, thermostat and tappet adjustment but a subsequent inspection made it pretty obvious that none of those bolts or seals had been moved since they left the factory.
