Twisted Dropper

You might think I'm crazy, but I'm trying to tie a twisted dropper in 120lb jinkai... I don't know if anyone else does anything like this but I thought I'd give it a go. I don't think it's possible to tie it the standard way as it's too hard to twist (the step below) Source: www.fishing-khaolak.com

Twisted dropper

I do believe there is a simpler way to tie twisted droppers though... Spess has shown it to me once... something along the lines of twisting the line around your finger x number of times, tieing a knot and carrying on from there...   I'm sure that this method will work on line this heavy guage but can't for the life of me find anything on the net explaining how to do it.  Help!

120lb no dramas, just remember to bring your hands together as you do it so you are pushing the line into the twists as you twist your fingers.
Hope that makes sense.Wink

Twisted dropped loops may appear to keep the loop/hooks out but its the water pressure that keeps the baits out. That said is why I just use the standard dropper loops setup like what Pete posted....works for me on my Jinkai 120 both supple & hard trace. I've done the twisted in the same trace to show a customer....do-able if required, not imo!
