Two rocks fishing

Headed out from a very busy two rocks ramp today for a bit of bottom bouncing and tuna chasing.conditions weren't too bad and got even better as the morning got on,we found our first tuna school with bird action fairly quick and i managed a hook up on a little stripey amongst the blues on a plastic before they sounded down and dissapeared. so next we headed out and did some bait fishing with sonny first up hooking up to a nice bronzie which took awhile to bring to the boat on light gear and took us even longer to get the damn thing on board.next drift produced a good baldie to sonny which broke his pb from last week so he was stoked but after that things went quite so we spent the rest of the morning chasing the blues.

those tuna look like good
those tuna look like good fun! Conditions look good too. What kind of depth do you reccomend for tuna? And how long out of Two Rocks did you travel before finding your first school? I want to have a go at them off the jetski so im just trying to gather as much info as possible, coz i dont want to waste my time if theyre too far out!

Cheers
Thanks for the comments guys and yeah the baldie was definately fish of the day for us. Beau - The tuna were mostly caught in 27 -29meters of water but the first school was spotted just past the first bank they had four birds quickly following them low to the water and swooping occasionally which gives the tuna away,we then headed up from the school about 50 meters away and cut the engine and put a cast 10meters from the leading bird.If you travel past the markers out from the marina there is shallow ground of 7 to 15 meters, keep heading west and when it drops away into the 20's is when you start getting the tuna as they like to chase the bait up to the surface in the area, look out for birds and schools of bait.
