For the 4th year running we spent Xmas and the New year in Walpole. Coal Mine beach has a new launch facility so if you have a larger boat like we do this is the place to go with no crowd.

Had all week there and picked up heaps of bream at skippy rock near the mouth. This is the large hole at the bottom of the large rock face near the mouth of the system.

Had a few days out wide in 65 meters of water. We found good ground not far from the mouth and picked up Pinkies, Queenies, Black arse, Harlequin with the biggist teeth you have ever seen, Nanigi and other bits and piecies. No problems with getting good size fish and releasing the smaller ones.

We landed 4 of the biggest leather jackets I have ever seen 80 + cm and we released them all to fight another day.

We love Walpole and will book again same time next year.
