We are still a few anglers short for this amazing trip, and there is a chance we may have to cancel if we don't get the numbers....TOTALLY GUTTED..:(
I can't believe there aren't a few keen fishos out there who wouldn't like to experience the fishing trip of a lifetime. Why spend thousands of dollars on gear you don't need or will never be able to put to the ultimate test. The cost of a new state of the art spinning reel and rod would have this trip half paid for...If you went on a long range 'day' charter once a month for a year and even if it was the best fishing you've ever had.....it wouldn't touch the challenge of deep jigging the undersea cliffs of Kenn Reef, or throwing poppers at 40kg GTs in a lagoon at Fredericks Reef, or having 20 hook ups on wahoo up to 50kg in a morning session outside Wreck Reef...let alone the untapped billfish opportunities.......but I'm being a bit selfish...I REALLY want to go to The Coral Sea again......take up the challenge guys

There are a chain of reefs located off the Australian/Queensland Coast known as the Coral Sea Island Territories. This chain of reefs is one of the most remote and inaccessible systems of reefs in the world. Of the 16 reefs in the system, the closest to land is 180nm, the furtherest out is 380nm.
A truly wild place, one of the last frontiers for hardcore sportfishing on earth.
Multiple hook-ups on tackle destroying gamefish are common, as are incredible wipeouts that will leave you stunned.
24-37kg stand up and jigging gear is normal, with 15kg outfits being very sporting. The fish here either get big or get eaten.
Species targeted at reefs such as Saumarez, Wreck, Kenn and Fredericks include Black Marlin, Potential World Record Sailfish to over 100kg!,Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna(+100kg), Giant Trevally(up to70kg), Wahoo(to 50kg), Mahi Mahi, Jobfish, Huge Oceanic Coral Trout, Giant Red Bass and many more.

The Mothership
KANIMBLA is a 25m/82ft Aluminium ship whose catamaran design provides maximum stability at sea. Her wide beam and 3 levels afford a spacious living area and plenty of deck space for fishing and diving activities.
All living areas are fully air-conditioned.
Dine and relax in the Saloon which is equipped with TV, DVD, Video and Sound System.

To further enhance your fishing experience they carry a fleet of 6 Webster Twin Fisher dinghies which allow you to access reef environments.
The Twin Fishers are also of a catamaran design offering space and stability. Each dinghy has a 25hp outboard, depth sounder, safety gear and a UHF radio

If you have always dreamt of that ultimate gamefishing trip, and thought it was only for the rich and famous, dream no longer.

That is an amazingly good price for such a trip!.

Last night, I compared it online - to the same trip on Nomad charters, mothership - with the two gamefishing boats and 2 x Kevla Fly fishing dorys...to the same locations for about the same duration.

http://www.gofishaustralia.com/artman/publish/cat_index_64.shtml

No change from Aus $10K P/P ex Hervey Bay to fish those same reefs for about the same time - you get flown out there on a seaplane to meet the mothership & 20 kilo carry aboard luggage is MAX allowed per passenger! (Cloteds & Tackle for 10 days????...my fly tying kit weighs that!)

Seems awfully cheap opportunity to fish some very remote spots, under little pressure, to me. 25% of the cost if you booked that similar trip thru a booking agent in the USA to stay on Nomad..

What Seansurfy is offering here is the trip of a lifetime at those prices IMHO comming from someone - "in the game".

Hope you get some people to go on the trip Sean, sounds magic and I wished I had some spare $ and time to go. I could imagine that it would be a totally unreal experience, I looked over the website the other day and it looks awesome.
