upstream fishing and a few questions

hey crew
today went back to my families 'old spot' next to bandiyup prison. place was pretty packed for so far up river. went there 2 weeks ago and caught 20 bream nothing over 23 cms today went back and caught 10 bream nothing over 25 (getting bigger) defiantly found the nursery with a few 12-20 cm's.
anyway i heard some guys drag screaming but didnt think much of it only to find out he *supposedly* caught a 40 cm mulloway. but then again nothings surprising me this summer
my question. i bought a td zero a few months ago first cork grip today i decided to be lazy and use bait and now the cork stinks. how do you clean the cork (total noob sorry) hahaha

Scouring pad and a drop of bleach
Works wonders but wash your gear in future
