Voyager LTD no anchor well

hi all just looking to get a few suggestions.
the anchor hatch bopens into the small cab and the anchor rope just sits in a box on the floor.
the problem i have is that when i get water over the bow it runs into the cab unless i completely remove the anchorfrom bow roller (sprit?) and bring it inboard.
i was thinking maybe a milkcrate tied to the bow rail and keep anchor rope there so it doesnt go thru the hatch but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they dealt with it

I have the same boat and have something more or less like this on the deck at the bow:

The fitting is raised to prevent water draining through it - we still get a bit but its pretty minimal.
The rope and chain go through the fitting and sit on a kind of shelf below the deck, right at the bow (the end of the anchor rope is tied off to a D-ring below the deck to prevent loosing the whole set up), the anchor is stored on the deck. It seems to work ok but when you retreive the anchor it can be a pain to feed the rope and chain back through the fitting - I usually get the decky to do this :P.
Hope that makes sence.

Mjohns thats what i was doing.
the problem you have tho is that you have to tie the anchor off thrue the hatch and excess rope still sits inside leaving hatch slightly open.
Coyote dave that looks good.
when you pull up do you feed it thru with deckie inside cab at the same time ?
or do you try and feed it thru as it is coming up

Hey Tony,You just feed it
Hey Tony,
You just feed it through the top - Generally we haul up the rope, chain and anchor onto the deck then feed the rope and chain through. This can be a bit problematic when theres a bit of chop or swell as the chain can slide over the deck a bit.
