Take note of conditions

A good thing to do mate is be aware of the conditions around you. Always check the weather before you leave(its amazing what can happen over night with the forecasts) then when you are on the water take note of the wind direction and the swell and sea. Then when you get home you can compare the conditions that you had fished in to what the weather stations have shown. I know for experiance that wind from the north gives short choppy waves compared to wind fron the south. Then the next time you go out, if the forecast is the same as two weeks ago, you know what you are in for. After a couple of trips you will start to learn the conditions and you will fish to suit. Even when its to windy to go offshore there is always somwhere to fish around rocko. Goodluck
