Hey fellas & sheilas...
i'm heading down to the Cas... see if i can win some money... or catch some fish given our huge success last week at NOR v SOR. Gonna be in the same spot saturday and sunday mornings round 7-8 for a few hours if anyone's keen to throw around a lure

Im keen as however, i have no way of getting there (unless tyson drives) but im keen as!
Maybe if someone else from up this way missions down, i can catch a lift with them...?
Also, you may have a not so kind reception... as the high tide peaks at 2 and 2.30am for sat and sunday....
thus meaning, youll be fishing mid tide... might not make a difference, might make a huge difference... me and tyson fished the outgoing tide today with a low at 7.30pm, we fished from 4-6.30 and we did catch fish.. however, most were small hmmmmm but might not make a difference at all... plus i got some more hotspots ive gleaned from another bream fisherman, all around that sorta area...
anyway, if someones keen to gimme a lift and go for a fish, im IN!

not good :(
was a pretty average morning, water was very low in the river.. which was a good thing as i was starting to see all the rocks and snags i was getting jigheads stuck on. didn't get a hit and lost interest after about 1 1/2 hrs..
thought i'd try the ocean this morning instead as the river would have been the same water level and tide times... went and tried a few spots around woodies and the water was really dirty which equalled no fish!
pulled donuts this weekend... not happy! and now i'm working...
yeah i'd be keen ... GF is away offshore so i'm a free man next weekend... saturday morning might be tough.. got a poker night at my house with some of the boys from work on friday night... i'd probably make a good bog digging out supervisor... sunday i'll be in better shape to use a shovel... but i'm easy any day will be cool with me.. will just probably need a couple of beers to wake me up :P

went down this (sunday
went down this (sunday morning) morning nick...
yeah tide was low, wasnt too bad though, had a few runs but the blasted ski club had boats racing past all morning.... so without hooking up, I drove to east perth...
Caught 1 at east perth, then switched to plastics, got no runs, so used a gulp worm after that to see if theyd run? nope no luck, switched back to tweeds and got 4 more bream and then called it a day...
average size 15cm to 20cm max
Yesterday, went to moore river...
man the amount of bloody fisherman there... you'd think there would be fish..
well i came back empty handed, but thats ok, i figured that the fish were there, just you never know which snag they were at and considering i was landbased, bush bashing through heavy bush and scrub was quite arduous... so i picked one spot and stayed there....
I reckon though, if I had a boat, id have found fish and cleaned up on plastics or HB's... awesome river and awesome spot...
You can hire boats too for like 100 bucks for 4 hours... 5hp engines...
Anyway, maybe one day soon we should get a few boys together and hire a boat and hit some snags up there

I have found in the past
I have found in the past that moore river is a good system full of bream but they are pretty hard to find and a boat is a must as they tend to school more up there. Once you find them however you can get many fish from the one area. Eyeball tails in green and brown on a 1/16 head seem to be the go with many hb's like laser pros and scorpins in the crawlfish and brown trout colours are good further up stream in amoungst the timber, but bust offs are pretty surtain with the type of country. However if you are trying to go landbased try around the gravelly banks because the rocks run right down into the water and hold good fish at times. Ill have to head up there sometime as its a great spot to chase bream and keen on getting into them on a kayak further into the snaggs! Be good fun id reacon to fish the river again because im sure its changed since i was there last. Cheers.
Keep it tight, reeeeeeel tight!
