 Only thing that has ever jumped out of the water and smacked me was a diamond scale mullet in a north Kimberley creek. Fairly stunk.

 I have had long toms spearing at me at night. They go mad jumping at the light and if you're wading in waste deep water it is an experience not to forget. It was a good thing I used to use a hard hat to bolt my light to.
