water being too clear?

just wondering if a clear blue sky day would affect fishing in under 15m of water out on the boat cause three times same spot nothing on a perfect day, but we went out before on overcast day and cleaned up mixed bag. has this happened to anybody else maybe the fish get spooked from boat.??

I think it depends on which
I think it depends on which species you are chasing. Bream get very skittish on clear days with clear water. With herring, skippy and garfish it doesn't seem to matter if your have berley. Also would depend on the tackle your using. Fish will see anything over about 6lb in clear water so that could be a factor.

If im fishing shallow water
If im fishing shallow water for larger species i prefer it to be overcast and also a lil bit ruffer and stired up, i feel that it gives the fish a bit more confidence. But in saying that i had a cracker of a day a few months ago in 10m of water, it was the middle of the day without a cloud in the sky and a light nw wind, landed 3 dhuies, shit loads of skippy and a good size sambo.

On days that are a bit
On days that are a bit rougher sometimes your fishing action has more movement than usual. Maybe that plays a part in it..

Yes it has alot to do with it!!
I personally wouldnt go swimming with a thick cloudband in the sky!
And I wouldnt use downriggers either.and i wouldnt wake up at 3am to hit my favourite spot to have a sesh when the sun just rises or miss out on dinner when it is a cresent over the Horizon
But all that would change depending on what i was trying to catch! Dont forget the winds/ direction, currents, water temp, barometer, water clarity Blah Blah Blah
