Weekend's Fishing Adventures

Saturday: E/NE winds 10/15 knots. Seas to 1.0m. Swell to 1.5m.

Sunday: NE winds 13/18 knots, easing to 8/13 knots early afternoon and becoming variable 5/10 knots for a period mid afternoon to early evening.

Think we are headed out on Sunday, but not exactly sure what the plan is yet.

If you manage to get out, hope you get into some fish, don't forget the camera just in case. :))

Cheers,
Adam

And happy 21st to Shizz for Saturday Night. :D

Long Weekend

Fri, 2006-06-02 12:29

I'll be heading out on Monday with a crew aboard to chase some YFT, which I believe may just be a chance in about 35m. Lots of water in between them but I will be giving it a go. Will have to dust off the Okuma lever drag and get a nice spread happening in between bottom bouncing.

Cheers

Andy Mac

Yeah the winds should be better this week end for sure , got a couple of days out Rotto then a shore bash down Mandurah way while the wife "visits" someone down that way , I drop her and the daughter off and then me and the boy go fishin'.

Don't worry if any fish get caught I will take pics , don't know if I can handle the criticism if I post them up tho.

WELL

Tue, 2006-06-06 19:11

There is allways next time SHIZZ, you must admit tho we did try to put you guys onto the fish due to the weather.

Well the Skippy will be schooling soon and then the SAMBO'S arrive on mass, if you can make it to the workshop at fisheries in hillaries on June 24 then you will hear some VERY interesting stuff indeed and not just on Sambo's, there are some things happening behind the scenes that are exciting to say the least , and the video presentation is eye opening to say the least .

Also for all those that keep asking Questions about the SAMBO tagging etc , come down and speak to the guys about it , they are doing MUCH more than just tagging fish and waiting for the recaptures , there is a whole lot of other stuff being done on biology etc that is going to help this resource in the future .

The guys are very approachable about this and will answer all your questions if you have any , I have asked a lot of questions and they are very happy to spend the time to explain it to me to my satisfaction .

I think I might have to rejoin under my other alias as it's strange to be called RAYMAN.

I think I will have to send RAYMAN to the grave.

No YFT for me.

Sorry to disappoint guys, but we struck out big time on Monday. Travelled a heap of clicks but only brought home a big KG, two huge cuttlefish, a just size Dhuie and a half decent blackarse. Released a 3m shark plus a heap of ooglies, a couple of buff bream and a few undersize and just size blackarse.

A lot of time on the water for very little reward.

Trolled for a while with plenty of birds airborne, but they were far too well dispersed. No obvious surface action apart from some hot looking bait balls with larger soundings on the periphery. Gave it a half hearted shot but missed out badly.

Best part of the day was that I found a couple of very good looking lumps with heaps of fish on them. Maybe a change in wind direction was all that was missing and they might have fired a little better.

I am now hankering for Exmouth. I might see you up there Honsu, we are heading up next Friday for 8 days, we will probably tag team you on the way back.

Cheers
