West coast memberships
Many people on here got WCE memberships?
I've been an 'In the wings member' for 6 years now, waiting my time to get a full membership.
Received an email this morning from west coast eagles, paragraoh below.
" In 2012, the loyalty of in the wings members was once again demonstrated with a 90% renewal rate. This, combined with a renewal rate of 97% among our season members, has meant very little movement on the waiting list, with the majority of 'In the wings' members not expected to receive a seat offer until the new stadiu, is completed in 2018"
Thats 6 years away, which means i would have been waiting 12 years to get a membership....I dont know of any other football club or for that matter a sporting club that has a 12 year waiting list to become a member... its almost as long as the MCC membership waiting list!
As an 'In the wings member' your able to purchase 'resale' tickets from members who are not going to some some of the home games. Paragraph below
" This year, the seat resale program has allowed members to access the seaons most anticipated clashes, with two matches selling out of resale tickets this season. If you were not successful in obtaining tickets through the seat resale program in 2012, please contact membership staff"
I tried all season to get 2 tickets together for me and the missus, unsuccessful everytime. Could always buy one on its own, but not 2.
Think the only way to get a full membership these days is if you have a family member, or know someone who works or plays at the eagles you can jump the queue....
Anyone else an in the wings member and been waiting longer than the 6 years i have? im still number 2,400 or something in the list!
Well thats my Friday rant!

We are in the same position
Been there 7 years now. We have progressed in the queue but still waiting. We could have had m/ship a long while back but only single seats and that doesn't work for us. With the Eagles doing well it doesn't suprise me that renewals are high. We have secued tickets through resale program as the missus gets online as soon as the resale starts. You need to be quick. We have friends who travel a lot so we do get their passes for part of the season.

mate i was getting on as soonas it opened up on Thursdays, no luck, could only find single seats.
Any members on here that dont use their tickets all the time, would be more than happy to take them off your hands for the games you dont go...Carton of beer would come your way! :)

subi
the kicker is if you blokes do eventually get in before this mythical new stadium you can pretty much guarantee the worse seats in the ground. If I had to sit on the side that cops the sun I wouldve handed in my membership a long time ago, so many sh*t seats at that ground.
time to switch to purple Vince

Only just
Only just been an In the Wings member for a year now, I don't even want to think about what number I am in the list....
I had a crack at buying resale tickets once this season and managed to get 3 tickets together without a problem.
Very surprising for such an odd number of tickets!

usually full memberships consist of 2 adults and 2 children and most people have this.
Probably why you got 3 without too many dramas

Hahaha, other club's
Hahaha, other club's supporters having a cry off, none playing tomorrow, nawwwwwww. Maybe you can sue the club for your membership costs and loss of earnings due to being struck down with depression till next season haha

Get rid of them
If you have had in the wings memberships for less than 7 years I would get rid of them. Country memberships get seats to a couple of games every year....get 1 of them instead! My sister goes to a pub once a week to go into a rigged draw and can go to any game she wants!!! Given the statement from the Eagles you would think the ethical thing to do would be STOP taking peoples money for nothing. Don't take any more of these members on, People who have paid previously should keep their place in the queue without any further charge.
I wouldn't be in a rush to get into a WCE game anyway. I get seats when I want (legit though) but never take them. I have never seen so many people who have no idea about footy congregated at the same place. Seriously, the crap that comes out of their mouth!

I have 3 full memberships
I have 3 full memberships was lucky enough that my pop bought them for Christmas when I was only 3 and we have kept them ever since. We talk to plenty of people in the ground that are in the wings members who get the resale that have been on waiting list for 8-10 years. The reason no other clubs have such long waiting lists is because some vic clubs sell their memberships in block packages I think of 4 games or something like that appose to the the eagles and dockers and few others who just sell the 11 home games!

Dockers membership
Get one of those. At least you get to see one derby. I know thats what a friend of mine has done. Looks odd sitting in the dockers members with your eagles gear on but thats the price you pay.
Twin turbo..V8 diesel..Ohh what a feeling!!
