Hey all,
just have a relly from italy coming over and she's keen to see some whales, I know I saw a couple just out back of 5 fathom bank a few weeks back out from Point Peron but wondering if anyone else has been seeing them locally. I'll probably launch out of Rockingham but could do Mandurah if they down that way.
cheers!!

Dunsborough
Heaps in Geographe Bay off Dunsborough for those who prefer to see them at sea, took the missus down that way last week end to Point Piquet for a day out, saw a couple cruising by about 150 metres out after an hour of sitting back in the car enjoying the scenery.
Didn't even take a rod to try for a few herring just to keep the boss happy. Surprised to not see others fishing as it was top weather for it.

Weather permitting I will probably start from point peron head out and then go round back of rotto, That should give me a decent chance of spotting some.

They were everywhere when we
They were everywhere when we were allowed to fish, everywhere I went had them within afew hundred metres from back of 5 to 50-60m behind rotto. Saw turtle as well thought it was a craypot as I had just looped around and netted a redneck out of the water that was just on the 5 between garden and carnac whales were afew hundred metres away there too.
rather be fishing
