What brand of boat

I'm looking at upgrading to a new boat and after up to 6m fibreglass with a cuddy cab. I was wondering what brands are worth looking at.

Price Range?
Price range would be a great help and also if you are wanting new or 2nd hand. Good times looking for a new boat!

Seafarer Victory and Cruisecraft Outsider
I have had both and they are both excellent.
You can pick up a brand new Seafarer Vega 5.75 for that sort of price with a 150 etec. Sweet. Check out the below link. I reckon for the price you wont get much better.

Heres a couple to check out!
Eden craft. or Bass strait boats.( They look like an eden craft copy) Built for specifically for fishing but have a small cushioned area up forward. Great reviews, awesome build quality, simple lay out. I went for a 2nd hand cruise craft because i couldnt find a 2nd hand Bass strait 6m offshore or afford a new one.

The guy who owns Bass strait
The guy who owns Bass strait boats started Eden craft the 600 is the old V19 r which originated from Bertram the 233 is the origal formula designed by the one and only Don Aranow all these moulds came from Haines Hunter awesome sea boats.
One boat that is not built any more and in a class of its own is the Haines Hunter 773l they are on the market fairly regually on the east coast heaps of fishing room and great offshore based on the formula hull with 3 feet on the front and a planning plank you would not want any less power thah a 250 on the 773l and 233 they like to be driven the local PMY hulls are based on the formula and are awesome this would be my first choice.if you do not buy a well priced import like every one else these would be a great opton Coota craft are top notch as well.Never discount the Bertram as well have not changed over the years though a good solid rig.
It all depends on the style of boat you like if bling and gelcoat liners are you then Cruise craft, Haines and imports are the go the boat builders mentioned before are more custom and the internals under the floor have more attention to detail and top end materials. For imports that are mass produced i like Trophy, Proline, Sea Hunt ,Grady white, Contender, Sea Vee ,Sea Swirl, Carolina Classic, and a lot of there custom carolina boats are to die for. There are a few others that are not named for i do not like the build quality nothing worse than banging the side of ahull and watch it flex and sound real drumie.
Enjoy chasing the dream and take your time on making a purchase far to many people get ripped off it is a buyers market.

Mate happy to help any time i
Mate happy to help any time i am obsessed oh and qualified composite technician not that this means anything now days any monkey can build boats it is the difference of knowing what materials to use and where and strenght and weaknesses of a hull is the key to build a good boat and beleive me i have had some failures in my time trying to push the boundaries.
Do your research any boat that has vinyl or epoxy resin stich cloth glass stringers or Foam composite internals is a great start the majority of these boats i named do if it has timber give it a miss those days are gone and a material of the past unless it is a 1 off strip plank dynel.Resale plays a big role as well the manufacturers i named all have good reputation and resale value.

spend the 60 g's on a second
spend the 60 g's on a second hand boat IMO
you'll get a much much sweeter deal (once you factor in all the goodies on top of new bmt package)
check out boats online - couple haines and seafarer's in there amongst others
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Good feedback so far. im
Good feedback so far.
im weighing up options of a new/2nd hand glass boat or a full rebuild of what I already have. The costs are going to end up similar. Boats I'd consider are edencraft 565s and cootacraft gunshots around 50-60k or spending close to that on a full rebuild of a v19 using composites and fitting a new motor and trailer.
While cost would end up similar, I'm wondering if a "full house v19" would be as good as the other boats listed?

Thanks, they do look the goods.
What is opinions on weight contributing to a good ride? For example, an old heavy deep vee boat, rebuilt with modern materials, hence a few hundred kgs lighter...Would it still ride well?

Old Deep Vee Fibreglass boat
Old Deep Vee Fibreglass boat rebuild with modern gear rides even better as there should be more speed in it
If the old 165crank HP engine is replaced with a 230HP @ propeller and the max speed foes fron 30KN to 42KN then the cruising speed is so much higher and the fuel consumption is so much less which means bigger range.
