What to do
What to do have 225cc key west I imported it from the states 2 years ago have had five boats it's been the best boat I've ever owned fished 30 mile out of two rocks a lot and have caught some great fish towed it up north exmouth to derby spent a week on the boat at raft point croc creek horizontal falls and now of to Gnaraloo for two weeks in April .
the problem I have these days is I am retired and there is no one to fish with week days so the boat now is only getting used for the big trips which is only once a year what to do is it time to sell and get on a charter up north for that once a year trip you know where I'm coming from insurance maintenance it seems a waste but as I said earlier I've been through a lot of boats to find the perfect one

With only a day or two's notice...
...you should be able to scare up one or two deckies any day of the week, by posting on here!

I'd be more than happy to be a deckie johnno,

Not that easy to get deckies ,I have had a few post up for crew out of two rocks and ended up going solo. .Even had ofered trips to the Abrolhos and no takers, most are all talk and no go. I don't even bother anymore .As for the boat keep it mate if you sell you will miss it for sure.

Hey Johnno, you guys are lucky where you are to have lots of water ways to navigate.
Rotto trips, load the missus or grandkids and plod round Mandurah/Swan for a weekend exploring etc.
Dont have to fill up with fish to be a fun day, my kids can waste a whole few days just swimming off the boat on the donut without moving

Big ....very nice
Big ....very nice boat
retired and all the time you need to fish.
Certainly a hard situation you've got yourself into ;)
Sounds like you bought the boat at the perfect time from the US with the dollar at pretty well parity ...or more.
I always think back to a conversation I heard between two mates while I was living in China.
Three of us there
We were on our way out for the night, and one friend said "I'm just going to grab some take-out beers and go back home....it's much cheaper". to which my other mate said, "why don't you just go back and slit you wrists that will be cheapest" :) said in humour with a big smile and no animosity at all.
but we all ended going out that night.
Of course I don't know your whole situation and if you absolutely need the money of course you have to do what you have to do but I don't believe you get another life.
The other option is finding someone you trust to buy a half share.

Keep it Colin!! You'll spew
Keep it Colin!! You'll spew once it's gone. Or maybe downsize to something like mine, a bit more managable and can even do it yourself at a marina. You know mine does well at Gnaraloo ;)

boat porn.
Join a boat club mate. Sure to be some keen fishos in your situation, or wanting access to a bigger boat. Hell even at my land based club there are a few that would be keen, myself included and some that have plenty of free time. Some have their own smaller boats too.
Random fishos off a forum probably let you down as deckies most of the time, due to having to have everything line up, but if you get to know a few through a club then more likely to increase the likelihood of getting the boat wet.
Trade ya some land based tips for a crack at some demersals :P

Hahaha
Ask a bunch of dedicated fishers/boaters on a fishing website...."should I keep the fishing boat?".
Pretty sure you already knew the answer you'd get!

Join a club
If I could suggest one, the Perth Game Fishing Club has a few hundred members, but not nearly that many boats. It's a good way to get to know some people first before you invite them on your boat. There are a number of organised tournaments each year, but even if you aren't into game fishing so much, plenty of members also do a variety of other fishing - bottom bashing, deep dropping etc.

Keep it mate
you'll find a deckie.
I used to get up at 3:30am and travel to 60 km's to be a decky. (the skipper then shows unusual restraint and patience when I throw up).
I'm fifo these days (only in perth 4 days a fortnight, so it hard to match our schedules).

keep it
you have probably decided by now but it is a decision you may regret. Selling a great boat is by far the hardest choice a keen fisho will have to make. If the finances allow, keep it. If not, post on here as a keen deckie. I work week on week off, I would be happy to learn a thing or two any time.
Cheers
