what a horrible way to go[ croc attack]

comisserations to the family that lost their Dad, Husband in that crocodile attack up north, this will make a lot of people think about hanging out of a tinnie or grabbing a fish off the side of the boat, I always thought this is stupid when I grab a big mack by the tail and hoist him aboard, guess I will be still thinking about it

Yep jumping crocs on the Adelaide River seen that

When up in the NT we went on a cruise on the Adelaide river and they showed us how the crocs would jump up out of the water for a piece of meat attached to a pole. At the time I thought that this was a bloody stupid thing to be training the crocs to do and when I asked about the risk this posed to people fishing on the river the tour guide assured all that could hear that it was only the crocs around this certain area that did the jumping bit and all the locals know not to fish in these areas.
Good for the locals, but what about he poor bloody tourists who come up to the NT for a bit of the fishing for barra etc and don't have this local knowledge. No signs etc warning of this danger that we could see either.
Condolences to the family who lost their husband/dad

Wife went to Darwin recently

Wife went to Darwin recently and went on the croc tour boat. Tour guide made it clear to all on board that leaning over the side to take pics was a bad idea. one lady was then handing her arms over the side with camera to take a pic (my wife was waiting for her to be grabbed).

Apparently the crocs are in tune with the sound of the tour boats outboard and know when a feed is coming. Hate to have a motor with the same sound. Training them for sure same happening with GW shark cage diving.

Condolences to the family.
