Whats the best time of year to go up North?

Im thinking about taking some time off next year to go fishing up north. Probably will go to Kalbarri, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Broome and places inbetween.
I was wondering what is the best time of the year to go up that way? A few weeks ago I spent 5 days in Kalbarri and it was really windy and I didnt really catch much.
Any help??

I think I responded to your post on Hotbite but anyway... If you want the best mix of good fishing and weather I reckon April is the best time, not too hot, light winds, good fishing. I beleive the fishing is better in summer and the wind is even more reliable but you gotta put up with 45 degrees+... for someone who is used to it, no problem, but some people really struggle.

If it's anything like Karratha I'd say pretty reliable, sure you'd get some bad day's but light winds most of the time.

Gamex in March
Well Gamex is on in March in Exmouth and its usually pretty good conditions wise from what I've heard. We've always gone up in July and had about 7/10 days being able to be fished in decent conditions. I've always been told Jan thru to July was the best times weather wise. Guess it usually comes down to luck of the draw, but maximising the chances are always good.

Have to agree with Jay on this one ,April, May are great time before that bloody hot,if you like sharks try july as they are everywhere then
