Where to Camp down around Albany???
Submitted by Bungel on Mon, 2010-02-01 22:43
Spent my last week off up at Sandy Cape, north of Jurien. Fishing was very average, though i didnt explore much at all wasnt able to do any decent missions.
... so this time im looking to head south for 3-5 days. Where ever i can get in about 8 hours of travel that is road friendly to a little Hyundai Excel ( 4WD is on my list of things to buy very soon). Camping with some nice beaches close by, and a few easy walk in spots for some rock fishing. Im keen to burley up a bit and bring a few in during the mornings/evening. Any information or ideas would be great, as i really know nothing about the area but am keen to explore a bit.. so i can head back there at some point for LBG fishing only.
Cheers, George.

Cosy corner
Cosy corner is bloody awesome. Very nice sheltered beach but there aren't that many sites there.

Mutton Bird Island
Mutton Bird Island mate. Camping is allowed there. Hard to give exact description of my camping spot but if you drive down the rd to the beach it's on your right hand side. great spot for beach/deep rock fishing for Groper and Sambo's or just the std rock fishing for skippy/herring/KG's. You have the channel between the beach and island as well.
